Properties of Larch (Juniper)

Larch is a strong, rot resistant wood, that has historically been used for building wharves, ships, bridges, and fence posts. As flooring and decking, it has a unique, natural beauty. The wood has a high resin content which serves as a natural preservative that gives it a long life without the use of chemical pressure treatment.

Properties of Hemlock – commonly used for deck framing and timber applications. Naturally occurring tannins help extend the useful life of hemlock lumber beyond that of SPF(spruce, pine, fir)
